Plug-in: Simply plugs in to standard outlet and uses the included remote control for operation. Use recessed outlet mounting box like the Arlington DVFR1W-1 (see Tech Specs section for more info) for outlet installation behind artwork (not required). Not compatible with legacy "clock box" style recessed outlets
Hardwire: Installation by electrician recommended. Use 4 gang electrical box and cover to house included driver. Requires use of customer supplied wall dimmer or smart home system (0-10v and TRIAC dimming options available).
